Title Senior Service Technician

Department(s) Warranty/Repair Division

Reports to Service Manager

Job summary

Performs maintenance of drywall, including warranty work and repairs after modifications. Also includes application and finishing of drywall in remodels, basements, and houses. Cleans and maintains vehicle and tools. Prepares paperwork for billing purposes.

Summary of essential job functions

Performs smaller drywall installation projects such as bathrooms and small remodels

Performs maintenance of drywall after initial installation is complete

Performs general repairs to drywall after modifications have been completed by other contractors

Completed ceiling repairs through blending of ceiling texture

Installs and finishes drywall for projects and remodels

Communicates with job supervisor regarding completion and issues encountered at jobsite.

Understands and accepts responsibility to perform assigned tasks to meet building code and regulations

Cleans and maintains vehicle and all tools kept in the vehicle.

Prepares paperwork to be used for billing purposes

Minimum requirements

Requires a minimum of 5 years of on-the-job training as a service technician. Requires knowledge of materials, methods, and tools used in the trade. Must have a valid drivers license and good driving record. Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to solve problems. Must be able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

Abilities required

Requires the ability to sustain repetitive motion. Majority of work is completed while standing. Must have the ability to safely lift a minimum of 50 lbs without assistance and to push and pull up to 100 lbs with appropriate equipment. Requires substantial demands on these physical requirements throughout the work shift.
