Front Desk for Boutique Hotel

We are seeking a friendly, organized hotel Front Desk Agent to join our small boutique hotel in downtown Carmel by-the-Sea. In this position, you will welcome regular and new guests to our hotel. Assist guests with room reservations by telephone or in person. Attend to guests’ needs and questions. The ideal candidate will be committed to ensuring that guests experience maximum satisfaction. They will present an excellent image of our hotel that will leave a lasting impression.

REQUIREMENTS

Must have experience in a Hotel Front Desk Position

Must have an open flexible schedule that will include weekends, evenings and holidays

Must maintain regular attendance of weekly scheduled shifts, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel

Must maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming

Must possess excellent communication skills

Must possess strong leadership and organizational skill

Must be effective in handling problems

Must have a good eye in anticipating, preventing, and solving problems as necessary

Must have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests

RESPONSIBILITIES

Welcome every guest with a smile, and a friendly verbal greeting, using the guest’s name when possible

Register guests and enter registration information into computer

Complete check-out process, print bill and answer any questions about charges

Answers reservation calls and responds to email requests

Maintain complete knowledge at all times of:

All hotel services, and hours of operation

All room types, layout, décor, and location

All room rates, special promotions

Answer inquiries about hotel services, in person, over the phone and email in a timely manner

Maintain a neat and presentable front desk area

Resolve guest concerns in a timely manner

Complete all items as listed on shift checklists

Clean the work area at the end of the shift, ensuring all items are left in an orderly fashion

Perform other duties as requested by management
