Description Our Minneapolis based client is seeking a Project Billing Specialist to join their team in a long term contract capacity to assist with a backlog of work created from a vacancy in the department. The role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity where you will be responsible for setting up new accounting projects in Deltek software, preparing customized client invoices, reviewing contracts, and ensuring timely collections of past due receivables. Responsibilities Set up new accounting projects in Deltek software, ensuring the appropriate project work breakdown structure is in place Review all supporting contracts, purchase orders and work orders to ensure they meet the company's requirements and contractual obligations before invoicing Prepare and send invoices to clients in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to all company SLA's Review project reports with project managers to determine if corrective actions need to be taken before invoice preparation Run project reports from Deltek, analyzing differences between budgets and actual spending to make necessary adjustments Work closely with project managers to ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables and coordinate with clients to collect outstanding receivables Resolve accounting issues with client accounting staff when necessary Analyze and troubleshoot issues related to billing and project budgets as needed Assist project managers in determining the appropriate project work breakdown structure as needed Use advanced functions of Excel such as PivotTables and VLookups for data analysis and account reconciliation.Requirements Requirements 2+ years of experience prior billing or accounts receivable experience, ideally in an industry with projects Experience with Project Billing and Project Budgets Familiarity with software such as Deltek, NetSuite or other project billing software Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel Ability to appropriately analyze account information and take action on the results Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to work independently Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferredRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
