Marians offers Santa Maria Valley residents access to the most advanced technologies an expanded and enhanced Emergency Department Critical Care Unit neonatal intensive care unit and an array of womens services.ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary:In keeping with the Dignity Health core values the Physical Therapist II is responsible for providing physical therapy assessments and treatments to patients. Provides training and/or supervision to staff physical therapy assistants and therapy aides.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:

Hospital Based: minimum of 3 years of clinical experience.

Homecare Based: minimum of 3 years of experience required.

Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.

Current California license in Physical Therapy

Current CPR

Must have California driver's license with clean driving record with proof of liability insurance for automobile.

Evidence of ability to function with a high degree of independence and competence. Manages audits feedback on evalutions and precepts.

Special Skills:

Demonstrates good interpersonal skills with fellow staff members physicians hospital departments and the general public.

Demonstrates competent working knowledge of the standard practices procedures and equipment utilized in the department.

Ability and willingness to actively participate in departmental and hospital programs.

Demonstrates self-motivation and ability to acheive results through good organization skills and prioritization of work.

Ability to work independently and be a functional team member in a team orientated enviroment.

Ability to mentor and coach student interns or oversee their clinical experience.

Ability to be flexible with caseload within any given day as needed for the benfit of the department.

Promotes PT services in the community as appropriate.
