Patient Services CoordinatorDepartment Details:The Pitt Vaccination and Health Connection Hub is looking for a highly motivated, patient-centered, and detail-oriented person to join our team. The Hub provides access to vaccines and wellness services for all Pitt community members and the community at large. It serves as a central access point for connecting people to health care resources. It is a place where students from all six schools of the Health Sciences at Pitt can learn together about what it takes to care for a community today and into tomorrow.A service-oriented individual with the ability to perform work efficiently and accurately is desired. Successful candidates will resolve patient questions and concerns by communicating effectively with patients, students, and staff.Essential Functions:Schedules and registers patients for appointments. Supports patients and staff with insurance billing and payment. Welcomes health science students and supports community outreach. Takes responsibility for supply ordering and email correspondence related to appointments. Abides by all applicable regulations and requirements for supporting patient care services.A High School Diploma or GED is required.Minimum one year of experience working in a pharmacy or similar environment preferred.Pharmacy Technician certification or experience in medical billing preferred.The University of Pittsburgh is committed to championing all aspects of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility within our community.
