Schedule:7 hours per day, 5 days per week, 210days per year (10-months)

Job Summary: To assist in ensuring that all students attend school on a regular basis and to provide timely and accurate student attendance reports to the faculty and to the State Board of Education for determining fund allocations to the school.Qualifications:To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.
High school diploma.
Ability to operate a computer and knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets.
Bookkeeping/record keeping skills.
Effective interpersonal skills.
Strong written and communication skills.
Excellent clerical skills.
Proficiency in the use of technology for individual and system management, communication, and research.
Must successfully complete and maintain compliance with all federal and state background and criminal record check requirements.
Candidate must adhere to all local, state, federal, and school code requirements for employment.
Duties & Responsibilities:(Abbreviated - Please review the attached Job Description for more details on this specific opportunity)
Prepares and prints attendance corrects lates and absences on the computer.
Updates student information as needed i.e., address, entry, withdrawal, etc.
Generates reports and/or mails letter to parents on the following: illegal absences, warning letters for class lates and lates to school, detention notices, and required doctors' certificates. Maintains and updates files for students who are sent home from the nurse. Notifies administrator of the student's status.
Maintains and updates list of students who are absent for an extended length of time for severe illness, vacation, probation placement, hospital, etc.
Generates 60, 120, and 180 day attendance reports. Prepares student reports, overdue excuse cards, homeroom lists, perfect attendance, or other reports as needed.
Checks on students who are missing from class and notify administrator.
Answers telephone calls and assists anyone who enters the office with questions, requests, etc.
Assists teachers with questions and information on students and assists, as needed, parents, students, guidance, and administ ators.
Notifies Attendance Officer of student's refusal to come to school.
Enters attendance into computer for teachers or substitutes, as needed, for every period throughout the day.
Generates report of teachers that have not reported attendance.
Issues late slips and early dismissal passes to students.
Prepares daily bulletin for use by teachers including any pertinent schedule changes and announcements.
Enters attendance for field trips and gather contact information of teachers on the trip.
Maintains schedule of bus arrivals.
Prepares and maintains student attendance folders, filing all notes for each student, making corrections as needed due to information from parents and teachers.
Generates and investigates discrepancies in daily attendance due to errors in period attendance.
Creates and maintains position procedure outline to describe day to day duties of the position/department as needed.
