Job Duties:
Review production sheets and menus to determine the type and quantity of foods to prepare.
Follow recipes and guidelines to prepare assigned menu items.
Arrange and present food attractively and appetizingly.
Test food by tasting, smelling, and using a thermometer to ensure it meets health and recipe standards.
Prepare various menu items (vegetables, fish, meat, casseroles, soups, etc.) using kitchen equipment like kettles, ovens, and fryers.
Follow instructions for batch cooling to support smooth operations in the tray line, dining room, and service areas.
Monitor food quality, including temperature and accuracy.
Set up and place food items for resident trays and other service areas.
Verify menus and quantities using established forms.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef.
Training will be provided to ensure safe equipment use.

Qualifications:
Minimum of two years of experience in cooking or food preparation. Experience in short-order and breakfast cooking is a plus.
Familiarity with kitchen equipment such as slicers, slow cookers and proper knife handling.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
A two-year degree in culinary arts, hotel/restaurant management, or a related field is a bonus.
