Mobile Trailer Tecnician
SUMMARY:
Responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of trailers. This role involves performing mechanical and electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting, and ensuring that trailers are in optimal working condition. The Mobile Trailer Technician will work in a mobile capacity, traveling to various locations to address on-site repairs and maintenance needs.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am-4:00pm
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· On-Site Repairs: Travel to different locations to perform on-site repairs and maintenance of trailers.
· Decal Updates: Remove and/or installation of decals for all identified trailers.
· Routine Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance tasks, including lubrication, brake adjustments, tire rotations, and other preventive measures to ensure trailer longevity.
· Annual Inspection: Conduct inspections as needed for the DOT.
· Diagnostic Assessments: Conduct thorough diagnostics to identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in trailers.
· Repair and Replacement: Execute repairs on damaged or malfunctioning trailer components such as brakes, axles, suspensions, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems. Replace faulty parts as needed.
· Welding and Fabrication: Conduct welding and fabrication tasks for trailer components, ensuring structural integrity and safety compliance.
· Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities. Provide documentation for customer records and internal tracking.
· Communication: Communicate effectively to understand issues, explain necessary repairs, and provide estimates for services.
· Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing all tasks. Ensure that repaired trailers meet safety standards and regulations.
QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
· Experience: Proven experience as a Mobile Trailer Technician or a similar role in the automotive or trailer industry.
· Technical Skills: Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in trailers. Knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques.
· Certifications: Relevant certifications in trailer maintenance and repair are highly desirable.
· Customer Service: Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers.
· Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and find effective solutions.
· Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects, work in various weather conditions, and perform tasks requiring physical strength and stamina.
· Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
· Flexibility: Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
