Job Title: Assistant Asset Manager
Division/Section/Unit: Asset Management Administration
Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Asset Manager provides property-related support to all Coventry, Vernon, & Roberts, LLC (CVR) staff, as required. Also provides support to CVR with regard to client, estate, and business records.
Primary Duties: The Assistant Asset Manager’s duties include a wide scope of tasks in support of fiduciary responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:
Investigation, inventory, and documentation of estate assets.
Marshaling, securing, and valuation of estate assets.
Identification and marshaling of important client and estate documents, such as: advance directives, legal, financial, and estate planning documents.
Coordination with real estate professionals to evaluate, market, and make recommendations to CVR principals regarding offers to purchase and related transaction details.
Coordination with a variety of vendors to provide services to clients, protected persons, and estates.
Negotiate contract details with vendors, inspect work completed by vendors, and inspect assets under management.
Coordination with clients, client families, and other CVR employees to assist with the move of clients to new residences and the tracking of their assets in client’s possession at care facilities.
Coordination of the storage and monitoring of records retention schedules for client, estate, and business records.
Coordinates the safekeeping of high value assets and important documents.
Qualifications/Experience/Skills/Licensure: The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in real estate transactions as an agent and/or broker, or at least two years of hands-on trade experience under the supervision of a licensed contractor. Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to perform a wide variety of property-related tasks under demanding time constraints. Must be able to assist with the development and maintenance of a contact list of licensed, bonded, and/or insured contractors for a wide variety of services. Must also be competent in the use of digital imaging, MS Excel and MS Word. Candidates must possess a clean driving record, pass a criminal background check, and provide a satisfactory credit report. The candidate must be flexible and able to use their own vehicle for company purposes. An Arizona fiduciary license is not required for this position. Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds overhead.
Education or Equivalence: A high school diploma (not a G.E.D.), two years of hands-on trade work experience under the supervision of a licensed contractor or specialty tradesman, and the above referenced experience with real estate transactions.
Compensation/Benefits: $27 - $29 per hour (full time), DOE; competitive benefits package.
