Groundskeeper with some Recycle and Floor Maintenance Duties (Main Focus is GROUNDS)

Compensation: $19 to $20 an hour depending on experience. Health, Dental and Life Insurance - Holiday Bonus - Paid Vacation

JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: Groundskeeper -Recycle and Floor Maintenance

Department: Maintenance

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

General Purpose of Position:

Person will perform all recycling, floor cleaning and grounds keeping duties of our complete facility. Work is nontechnical in nature with decisions made within the limits of general procedures. Some direct guidance received from supervisor when needed. MUST PASS DRUG TEST AND BACKGROUND CHECK

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Daily maintenance of recycles in trash rooms on each floor

Maintain recycles in alley

Maintain dumpster area

Maintain walkways (weekly moping and/or vacuum)

Follow maintenance schedule

Follow maintenance training procedures

Maintain landscaping and irrigation system

Install and maintain plantings as directed

Fertilizer plantings as needed

Maintain storage area and retrieve items as requested by Owners

Daily walk of perimeter area for trash

Perform other maintenance duties as requested by Supervisor

Assist Bay Plaza during hurricanes and other emergency situations, including illness and vacations

Skills and Abilities:

Ability to interpret policies and procedures.

Able to schedule own time to accomplish weekly duties

Medium level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with residents and staff.

Oral and written communication skills.

Education and/or Training:

High school graduate or equivalent training.
