Mechanic Small Engine, Truck & Trailer
Seasonal Solutions, LLC Landscape and Landcare Management is hiring a small engine, vehicle maintenance mechanic to join our team.
Position description: Must be thoroughly familiar with all aspects of company field equipment, trucks, automobiles, trailers and small engines to include: establishing a preventative maintenance (PM) program, making repairs as needed, deciding when to subcontract repair work, bringing in a part-time small engine mechanic when needed, determining when an item is BER (beyond economical repair), recommending purchases of new equipment, scheduling all items for PM, mobilizing equipment to/from job sites, licensing, registering, and training, etc. The Shop mechanic must display the management capability to effectively run the Equipment Department, the yard and shop areas on a daily basis while creating and maintaining a professional clean organized atmosphere.
Skill set and educational requirements: The Shop Mechanic must possess the following skill set and educational background:
The Shop Mechanic position is a WORKING position.
Minimum of five years of experience as Mechanic.
Have a high school diploma or GED.
Possess a valid driver’s license and must be insurable on company’s insurance policy.
Have a clean criminal record.
Proficient in both oral and written communications.
Proficient in or able to learn company truck, vehicle, and equipment GPS tracking systems.
Proficient in inventory management/control for repair parts.
Proficient in inventorying, tracking, locating and scheduling all company trucks, vehicles, and equipment.
Able to create an atmosphere of cooperation and professionalism with all office and field personnel.
Able to represent the company in a courteous and professional manner.
Responsibilities:
Supervises all field equipment, trucks, automobiles, and small engine equipment repairs and scheduled PM.
Conducts repairs for all field equipment, trucks, automobiles, and small engine equipment.
Assures the yard space is maintained in a clean and organized manner.
All warehouse bays are to be maintained as organized, clean and efficient at all times.
Maintains accountability through daily time and log sheets addressing tasks completed.
All purchase needs to be approved and accurately, timely recorded on company P.O. Form
Subcontracts out repairs for all field equipment, trucks, automobiles, and small engine equipment, as necessary.
Tracks all repairs for specific equipment with work orders for all costs: labor, materials, subcontracted costs, etc.
Drivers license required, must be teachable, hard working and must show up on time daily.

Pay rates are $22.00 - $28.00 per hour plus OVERTIME pay beyond a 40 hour work week. Come Join an Award Winning Team today.
Our typical work week during the summer is 40-55 hrs. (Time and a half pay for hours exceeding 40 in a work week.
