Description Overview: As a Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's network infrastructure to ensure reliability, security, and scalability. You will be responsible for analyzing network requirements, proposing solutions, configuring network devices, and troubleshooting issues to optimize performance and meet business objectives.Responsibilities:

Network Design and Implementation: Design and deploy scalable, resilient, and secure network architectures to support the organization's business needs. Develop network topology diagrams, routing plans, and configuration templates.

Configuration and Maintenance: Configure and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers, to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security. Implement and manage network protocols, such as BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and VPNs.

Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices and compliance standards to protect the organization's network infrastructure from unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security threats. Perform regular security assessments, audits, and vulnerability scans.

Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Identify and resolve network issues, such as connectivity problems, performance bottlenecks, and packet loss, through troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques. Utilize network monitoring tools to proactively detect and address potential issues.

Capacity Planning and Performance Optimization: Monitor network traffic and performance metrics to identify trends and forecast capacity requirements. Implement optimization strategies, such as Quality of Service (QoS) policies and traffic shaping, to prioritize critical applications and improve network efficiency.

Documentation and Change Management: Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, policies, and procedures. Follow change management processes to ensure that network changes are properly planned, tested, and documented to minimize disruptions and risks.

Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system administrators, software developers, and cybersecurity specialists, to integrate network infrastructure with other IT systems and applications. Communicate technical concepts and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.

Training and Knowledge Sharing: Provide training and knowledge transfer to IT staff and end-users on network technologies, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques. Foster a culture of continuous learning and skill development within the IT team.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA) are highly desirable.

Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-scale networks in a complex IT environment.

In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, MPLS, VLANs, and IPv6.

Hands-on experience with network equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, and Arista.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and perform root cause analysis.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels of the organization
