Office Manager
Description We are seeking an Office Manager to join our team in the non-profit sector. This role is based in Washington, District of Columbia, and offers a short term contract employment opportunity. As an Office Manager, you will be responsible for a multitude of tasks ranging from supervising administrative tasks to providing support to Spanish-speaking families and community members.Responsibilities: Supervise and provide training for office duties and reception tasks Ensure a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and callers, maintaining a high level of customer service Maintain security protocols for all visitors to the building Provide support and assistance to students in need, reinforcing school rules Foster a welcoming environment for parents and family members Translate office notices and materials into Spanish and provide assistance to Spanish-speaking visitors or parents as needed Manage daily attendance records and ensure all data is accurate and up-to-date Monitor student attendance, notifying parents of unreported absences Maintain strong communication with teachers, updating attendance records as necessary Serve as a resource for Spanish-speaking families, assisting with translation and communication as needed. Requirements Proficiency in Spanish language and translation Experience in administrative assistance Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field Proven experience as an Office Manager or equivalent role Excellent organizational and time-management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other office management software Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload A keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills Knowledge of office administrator responsibilities, systems, and procedures Familiarity with non-profit industry and its operational procedures Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
