Provider Communication Writer Sr.
Location: Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model (virtual and in-office) with PulsePoint sites used for collaboration, community, and connection. This includes remote work and 1-2 days in office per week. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.The Provider Communication Writer Sr is responsible for providing writing support for the development and implementation of highly complex provider communication materials.How You Will Make an ImpactPrimary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Consults with business leaders to identify business objectives; collaborates with business partners and subject matter experts (SMEs) for input to create a final draft document.
Researches, writes, edits, and reviews content for traditionally printed material (business development, form letters, direct mail, etc.) and/or digital material (website copy, email communications, etc.).
Delivers complex communications for implementations and other high visibility growth projects.
Ensures all materials meet internal and external business, regulatory and legal standards, and follows appropriate corporate standards, guidelines, and approval processes.
Identifies improvements/efficiencies that support operational excellence, and supports business initiatives (plain language, standardization, going paperless, etc.).
Mentors other communication writers and support staff.
Minimum Requirements:Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
Proficiency in writing and interpersonal skills, ability to work in team environment, attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Experience in health care or managed care strongly preferred.
Writer will have a strong focus in writing for a digital audience, as exhibited through: Understanding target audiences and the type of content they consume, as well as knowing what kind of content works best on different platforms.
Ability to create unique, fresh, engaging, and relevant content for a digital platform.
Adapt to evolving digital architectures and devise writing styles that suit different platforms.
Bringing a critical lens to the content they produce, helping shape online discourse and encourage thought-provoking discussions.
Being familiar with different digital writing tools and environments (for example “PEN” friendly) and be able to manipulate these to suit their writing needs.
Providing advanced creative and technical advice and writing support for the development and implementation of moderately complex member and provider medical communication materials.
Marketing knowledge strongly preferred.
