Effectively drives the group standards with respect to critical metrics.
Holds group and individuals accountable for the decisions and performance.
Effectively runs daily business to meet production and quality requirements.
Upon completion of a difficult or out of the ordinary task, ensures that proper communication on related lessons learned is complete.
Visible in key problem resolution efforts and provides guidance to resolve issues effectively and timely.
Advocates for the beneficial contributions of projects and quality team efforts within and beyond the designated area.
Provides direction to change, sustain or cancel projects as required to meet area/Fab objectives.
Effectively delegates and prioritizes issues for team.
Strategic:
Maintains an effective and efficient training program.
Allocates the necessary resources to ensure shift readiness.
Places personnel within the organization to best fit individual talent and area requirements.
Effectively plans for required capacity and product mix adjustments. Ensures labor is properly assigned and directed to meet required timelines.
Provides direction in the development of systems to handle the quality of response.
Seeks to understand difficult situations before making critical strategic decisions.
Champions the management team’s participation in setting area operation metrics.
Uses available resources and systems (such as KT) in the decision-making process.
Internal climatePerformance Management:
Ensures that individualized development plans are created for each member of the team.
Conducts effective performance evaluations within department timeframes and guidelines.
Meets one-on-one regularly with direct reports to review team member performance, provide feedback and clarify expectations.
Insures effective management of underperformance. Consistent in dealing with these in a timely fashion.
Effectively uses informal feedback to direct employees toward desired performance and expectations.
Team Building:
Helps employees understand how their work relates to both short and long term corporate/fab and area goals (LOS).
Encourages, mentors and empowers team members to propose their ideas and supports implementation. Promotes intelligent risk taking.

Environmental, health, safety and security
Foster a positive culture for safety and environmental programs at MTV by establishing the safety expectations and metrics for your team, and considering equivalent experience as an acceptable educational requirement.
Provide a healthy and safe work environment for team members by ensuring risks to our local environment are minimized.
Ensure all safety and environmental compliance-related work tasks are met according to the requirements.
Communicate any problems or concerns to the appropriate individual immediately.

Cost reduction
Responsible for controlling costs associated with your area and team. This responsibility includes owning and leading cost reduction projects, identifying cost-effective sustaining/manufacturing improvements, minimizing regular expenditures, and helping to promote a cost-conscious culture.
Education
A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering is required, with the option for equivalent experience.
Experience
Prior experience as a Manager or supervisor leading people is preferred.
