Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team to assure the cost-effective maintenance and repair of the Jeffersonville truck fleet.

Duties

Serve on an on-call basis, providing road service to trucks, diagnose problems, arrange for towing and authorize repair payments.

Oversee and perform preventative maintenance activities and tune ups, maintain service board and complete annual vehicle inspection forms.

Repair tires, trailer floors, tarps, sideboards, stakes and bow.

Maintain parts and tire inventory, purchase parts, take inventory and prepare required inventory reports.

Complete weekly truck/repair and service forms and input work orders. Communicate any issues to Malvern Service Manager.

Assure compliance with all related safety policies

Utilize TMW Maintenance Software as instructed.

Transport trucks and trailers to dealers for warranty work.

Complete required maintenance documentation.

Qualifications

Specific knowledge, training and skills required to perform duties of this position.

In-depth knowledge of transmissions, engines, brakes, air conditioning.

Certified to repair all aspects of truck.

Knowledge of truck and trailer specifications.

Knowledge of specialized mechanical systems.

Demonstrated understanding of fleet maintenance.

Knowledge of all safety requirements.

CDL certification.

Supervisory and leadership skills.

Computer proficiency.

Essential Physical Demands and Working Environment:

Very demanding position: long hours, standing, walking, stooping, and climbing; requires physical agility and dexterity.

Ability to see, communicate, hear and utilize electronic communication devices.

Industrial working conditions: hazardous, dirty and subject to weather and temperature extremes.
