Description We are in search of a Medical Billing Supervisor to join our team in SCRANTON, Pennsylvania. This role will primarily involve managing all aspects of inpatient and outpatient billing, including claim creation, follow-up, and correspondence with providers, insurance companies, and patients. This role also requires a deep understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and other commercial payer rules and regulations.Responsibilities: Prepare and submit clean claims to third party payers either electronically or by paper Follow guidelines and legal requirements to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations Respond to account inquiries from patients, payers, providers, and other staff as requested Identify and resolve patient/insurance billing issues Collaborate with team members on claim appeals, denials, resolution, and education Perform and monitor all steps in the billing processes to ensure maximum reimbursement Review and implement changes from payer bulletins Use online healthcare databases and other resources for verification and claim status Deliver high-quality service to internal and external customers Assist other team members with projects as needed Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines/regulationsFor immediate consideration please apply directly to job posting or call 610-882-1600Requirements Proven experience in Medical Billing and Dental Billing Proficient in billing software and other related tools Strong knowledge of insurance guidelines including HMO/PPO, Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer requirements and systems Familiarity with medical terminologies, ICD-10 and CPT codes Excellent data entry skills and attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills High level of professionalism and integrity Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work to meet deadlines Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word.
