Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in Sacramento, California. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic team in the non-profit industry, responsible for managing payroll operations and ensuring accuracy across all processes. Responsibilities: Manage and process payroll data using ADP software Ensure all payroll transactions are processed efficiently and accurately Maintain accurate payroll records and customer credit records Handle payroll related inquiries from staff and provide timely resolution Monitor customer accounts regularly for discrepancies and take necessary action Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless payroll operations Stay updated on current regulations and policies related to payroll procedures Perform regular audits of payroll data for accuracy Assist in the preparation of relevant payroll reports for management Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role. Proficiency in ADP - Payroll or similar payroll processing software. Proven knowledge of payroll processes, procedures, and best practices. Strong understanding of wage and labor laws. Excellent numerical and analytical skills. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
