DescriptionThe Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) works backwards from our customer’s most complex and business critical problems to build and execute go-to-market plans that turn Amazon Web Services (AWS) ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses. WWSO teams include business development, specialist and technical solutions architecture. As part of WWSO, you'll provide expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses. We pride ourselves on thinking big, delivering exceptional results for our customers, and working across AWS as #OneTeam.As a leader on the Go-to-Market Solutions Architecture team (GTM SA), you will build the foundation of success for our GTM strategy for Enterprise Applications Migration and Modernization (EAMM) pillar domains including Windows, VMware, SAP, Mainframe, Containers, Serverless and End User Computing. You will lead a team of senior architects across the region to translate our customer’s critical C-suite goals into a technical roadmap for success, creating repeatable motions for our organization in partnership with the GTM Specialist team. Your team will work closely with internal product teams, informing AWS’ product roadmap and building the features of the future. 10+ years design/implementation/consulting experience of distributed applications
7+ years management of technical, customer facing resources
10+ years’ experience leading high performance technical teams in a matrixed environment
Preferred Qualifications
History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises.
Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
Familiarity with common enterprise services. Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.
Strong written communication skills.
Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
AWS Solution Architecture certification or relevant cloud expertise.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
Computer Science/relevant degree.

The base pay for this position ranges from $180,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $312,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
