Job Description/Technical SkillsCoordinate and delegate the responsibilities of IT release items. Oversee the day-to-day functions of the group. Conduct training sessions with staff so that they can be equipped with new knowledge and skills to remain current. Train entry-level employees to allow them to be on the same level as the team.Consider the abilities and expertise of the team members to assist in dispersing assignments. Team members may have specialties such as business domain knowledge and design, security, AWS/Cloud foundry, web development or data testing.

Must have:
  • comprehensive knowledge and skills to guide all these professionals; and
  • ability to motivate teams and maintain a comfortable and conducive working environment.

Functions may include:
  • Keeping abreast of changes in the standards, technologies, or methodologies;
  • Carrying out administrative functions;
  • Risk assessment and risk management’s
  • Giving direction and guidance;
  • Coaching and mentoring team members;
  • Reviewing assignments for accuracy and quality;
  • Delegating responsibilities;
  • Coordinating application of software releases;
  • Developing and executing company policies;
  • Attending meetings, trainings or seminars; and
  • Working with other departments

Required AWS Cloud technologies
  • Experience in migrating colocation based system to the cloud
  • Extensive experience in prototyping innovative technologies across an organization
  • Ability to leverage AWS expertise to migrate multiple services to the cloud
  • Experience with Platform as a Service (PaaS) model and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
  • Describe any experience making performance enhancements to prepare for cloud deployment:

The critical aspects of the enterprise application are:
  • deployed a multi-tier Linux-based application to AWS
  • followed the Standardized Architecture for NIST on AWS
  • Used the standard lift-and-shift approach to migrate the application and data
  • made modifications to take advantage of the AWS Cloud services and optimizations to get RDS and S3 benefits.
  • the system remains modular and portable
  • many of our processes are automated to enable a multiple-environment deployment model,
  • including automated testing, validation, and roll-back capabilities.
