Part-Time Baker/Pastry Cook
Hours: 5-10 hours per week
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Part-Time Baker/Pastry Cook to join our team and assist with creating high-quality baked goods, including cookies, cakes, chocolates, and seasonal specialties. The ideal candidate is experienced with a variety of pastry techniques, is reliable, and has a passion for producing delicious and visually appealing products that meet our quality standards. Responsibilities:
- Execute Recipes: Follow standardized recipes to produce a consistent quality of cookies, cakes, chocolates, and other baked goods.
- Pastry Techniques: Apply working knowledge of basic pastry techniques, including scaling, mixing, baking, decorating, and finishing.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain high quality standards by inspecting ingredients and finished products, ensuring they align with the Chef’s standards
- Inventory & Equipment Management: Ensure all necessary ingredients and equipment are in place at the start of each shift, and communicate any needs promptly.
- Cleanliness & Maintenance: Keep a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace, and assist in maintaining kitchen equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a bakery, pastry kitchen, or similar environment
- Knowledge of various baking techniques and finishing skills for a range of products including cookies, cakes, and chocolates
- Ability to follow recipes precisely and produce consistent results
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Compensation: This is a paid position with competitive hourly rates, based on experience.
