Orthodontic Assistant/Registered Dental Assistant
Overview
Established Menlo Park orthodontist is looking for a Registered Dental Assistant who will provide a professional and pleasant experience for patients. This candidate will: Ensure excellent customer service and support the orthodontist in treatment and administrative duties; be well organized and detail oriented; follow instructions; and, be skilled in providing direct and indirect patient care
Responsibilities:
Assist the orthodontist during orthodontic procedures.
Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for orthodontic procedures.
Fit bands
Take and process diagnostic x-rays, photos and impressions.
Educate patients on orthodontic procedures, oral hygiene, and care instructions.
Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans.
Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment.
Perform other clinical tasks as assigned by the orthodontist.
Place orders for supplies and monitor inventory.
Assist front desk with schedule and other administrative tasks, when needed.
Requirements:
Experience as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) in an orthodontic setting is preferred. Willing to train the right candidate.
Current RDA license and CPR certification.
Intraoral Scanning (iTero) experience.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
