Office Estimator
A skilled Estimator or Project Estimator work closely with many other professionals including consultants, contractors, accountants and operations personnel to provide the most accurate and comprehensive financial and budget analysis for the clients and insurance adjusters.
His responsibilities include:
1. Analyzing requirement documents, blueprints and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project
2. Determining what factors of production will influence the cost of a service
3. Recommend the projected timeframe needed to complete a project and additional factors like labor needs, materials, budgets and potential setbacks
4. Prepare material estimates and cost estimates for the product or service
5. Create labor estimates for any project
6. Constantly communicate with project managers and technicians, using computer software to weigh production risks or compile reports and making presentations to project leaders outlining their suggestions for upcoming projects
7. Coordinate and maintain relationships with insurance adjustors, company vendors and contractors
8. Help maintain the office and storage upkeep for equipment and supplies
9. Prepare and clarify bills or invoices and attend to all related concerns on estimates and invoices
10. Be a team player and regularly coordinate reports, inventory and documentations other than the estimates and invoices prepared
