A skilled Mitigation Technician restores and repairs properties damaged by water, fire, mold, smoke, or other factors. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in construction and may also need to document the mitigation jobs while communicate with clients and insurance adjusters any detail of the mitigation project.

His responsibilities include:

1. Deliver, install and pickup mitigation equipment/machines while performing equipment monitoring

2. Survey the property, evaluate and record damage in areas, and conduct moisture inspections while taking detailed photographs, creating detailed reports of damage, and maintaining proper paperwork for insurance claims

3. Use hand and power tools to demolish structural damage and remove damaged materials like drywall, flooring, and insulation to access affected areas for proper mitigation

4. Set up dehumidifiers and air movers to dry out affected structures and prevent secondary damage like mold growth

5. Perform mold sampling or mold remediation and asbestos and/or lead abatement (less that 100 sq ft)

6. Clean, service and maintain proper equipment upkeep

7. May also need to clean soot and smoke residue from surfaces, including walls, ceilings, and contents

8. Communicate with clients regarding the mitigation process, explain the scope of work, and address related concerns

9. Regularly inspect and maintain specialized tools and equipment used for mitigation projects
