Senior Clinician (LCSW)
Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Senior Clinician will provide clinical oversight and support to YPLP, YYAGR, YYASL and IL programs. While on site at the YPLPs, the Senior Clinician will ensure the practical application of a Trauma Informed theoretical treatment framework in the milieu, and will work with staff to provide them with the tools to support residents in the development of healthy attachments, positive relationships, self-regulation skills, language and communication skills, learning their trauma triggers and identifying coping skills. The Senior Clinician will be available to provide interim individual and family therapy to youth within the YPLP, YYAGR, YYASL, and IL programs as needed. Clinicians are responsible for collecting any clinical data needed for CQI purposes in the programs they oversee.
JOB FUNCTIONS
YPLP Responsibilities
Review and approve treatment plans; Ensure program implementation of treatment plans; review treatment plans regularly to ensure residents are on track.
Ensure CANS assessments are completed within 30 days of intake and upon discharge
Ensure discharge plans are completed within 2 weeks of discharge.
Ensure safety plans are developed and updated by case managers for residents as required. Train staff on utilizing safety plans.
Ensure provision of group and family therapy consistent with youth needs; provide interim individual and family therapy as needed.
Assist with the development and delivery of staff training toward the implementation of a solid, clinical treatment program; create and conduct training for staff monthly and as needed. Per the RFR, trainings must include the following:
-Behavior Management and Collaborative and Proactive Solutions
-Safety Plan/lBSP
-Healthy Boundaries
-CSEC Awareness
-Documentation and assessments

Establish a leadership role by having a presence in the milieu and role model clinical interventions with milieu staff, including working with milieu staff in the delivery of crisis intervention services as needed
Provide formal and informal clinical supervision for program staff as needed.
Work closely with Program Directors to assist with clinical matters in the milieu
Participate in Youth Service’s Leadership Team as indicated; attend leadership trainings as assigned.
Complete all required documentation in a professional, timely manner
Participate in clinical on-call rotation
Consistently meet professional license requirements
On occasion, share direct care floor coverage with administrative staff, when requested for support.
Ability to work with youth or youth and families in a changing setting which may include transitional care and aftercare outreach.
Obtain required training for organization and job position, in addition to any other training mandated by Centerboard, including multicultural awareness orientation.
Support Programs in times of crisis
Facilitate in-house psychoeducational, therapeutic, and skill-building opportunities/groups as required by program contracts (all clinical and case management staff)
Coordinate referrals to community-based services to ensure continuity of services throughout treatment and post-discharge.
Complete other tasks or job assignments as required.
YYAGR/YYASL/IL Responsibilities
Provide interim individual and family therapy for youth experiencing long waitlists
Support programs in times of crisis
Assist with the development and delivery of staff training toward the implementation of a solid, clinical treatment program; create and conduct training for staff monthly and as needed. Per the RFR, trainings must include the following:

QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in a related field; license to practice as a clinician (min LCSW Certification) or working towards obtaining licensure. Required to pass initial competency evaluation as well as continued assessments of professional development and future training. Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to use a personal vehicle may also be required. Have the ability to work with a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion lens with clients, staff and collaterals.
