BMS Controls Lead Technician/Programmer
Established and growing New York City company is seeking to add BMS Controls Lead Technician/Programmer to our team. The applicant will have 3-5 years solid experience in the field.
The Qualified applicant will have:
Experience and knowledge of Distech/Honeywell/Schneider and other BMS controls systems a plus
Ability to read and analyze drawings and schematics for BMS and controls
Niagara experience is a must, certification is a plus
Knowledge of programming,graphics, startup, troubleshooting and commissioning
Excellent leadership and customer service skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, as some projects require working overnight shifts
Ability to work in various environments including outdoors in varying degrees of weather working at heights, and in small confined spaces
A valid driver’s license
High School diploma or equivalent
Own complete set of standard low voltage electrician tools
Willingness to travel to different project sites within the Tristate
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Troubleshoot, trace out, list & define problems with the BAS/BMS
Monitoring of the BAS/BMS via in-house computers
Respond to normal and emergency BAS/BMS calls
Repair and replacement of associated components
Monitoring, responding to and remediation of DDC/BMS System alarms
Interaction with DDC/BMS outside vendors
Make routine examination of the need for repairs and maintenance
Prepares and maintains records on work performed and materials used
Respond to other building emergencies
Installation and upgrades of BMS controllers
Programming and front end graphics
