Installer / Assembler - entry level position
14 days vacation after 1 year, 8 paid Holidays. Predictable Mon- Fri schedule!
Install components on fire apparatus! Work within the manufacturing team, to perform tasks. Maintaining clean and neat work area. Clean shop as needed, which may include lawn care, snow removal, sweeping, etc. Report to Lead Man for daily tasks. Complete required paperwork accurately.

Mounting Equipment
Fabricating Shelves
Installing Vinyl Covers
Fabricate Brackets/Components
WORKING CONDITIONS
Manufacturing environment; may be exposed to loud noises, changing temperatures, machinery with moving parts.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Clean / valid driver’s license
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must have a strong understanding of how to interpret and use blueprints.
Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job.
Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with basic math to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry and algebra for the purpose calculating material fabrication.
Ability to read and use a tape measure.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. The employee frequently is required to walk; stoop and bend; and work on overhead structures.
Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 100 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds. The use of lifting devices and the “Buddy System” are available.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment that may include but not limited to: safety glasses, hearing protectors, safety shoes, etc.

Mon - Fri. 7am - 3:30pm with some OT. This is a Full Time, year round position.
