We are offering a $1,000 Hiring Bonus + an Additional $1,500 for Spanish Speaking candidates!

DESCRIPTION:

The Housing Navigator Coordinator has personal experience participating in the system of care as a consumer and/or as a parent/caregiver, and has the skills, training, and experience to coordinate and promote permanent housing opportunities for individuals and families at risk of homelessness within the Flexible Integrated Treatment Program. Supports the Mission, Vision, and Values of the agency.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience as a parent or caregiver of a child with a serious emotional disturbance receiving, or having previously received, services within the public systems, including: mental health, child welfare, or juvenile justice.

Basic knowledge of Public Mental Health/Child Welfare/Education systems, and the ability to advocate on the behalf of clients in navigating and negotiating those systems

Previous experience with advocacy, outreach, and community resources preferred

Knowledge of housing resources, subsidy programs, and the Continuum of Care

Experience working with individuals and families who have been at risk or experiencing homelessness is strongly preferred

Ability to work flexible working hours, including evenings and some weekends

Sensitive to multicultural issues
