Tree Climber
We are a family-owned tree service looking to hire an experienced tree climber. This is a part-time offer with the opportunity to go full-time if the applicant is a good fit for us and if we are a good fit for you. Our yard is located in Elk Grove, CA where you can park your vehicle and take the company vehicles to the job site. We serve Sacramento County, Yolo County, and Solano County with exception to Vallejo. We operate Tuesday - Saturday. We are closed for the holidays December 24 - January 1.
The Tree Trimmer/Tree Climber person is responsible for gathering and feeding brush & debris into a
woodchipper, scanning areas from trip and fall hazards, ensuring other workers stay out of the path of
travel. This position is also responsible for maintaining equipment and materials.
Pay:
Competitive, Hourly
Competitive pay $22.00 - $32.00 depending on experience, certifications, and Class A driver license

What you’ll do as a Trimmer/Climber:
Be part of a tight-knit crew working in a team environment
Perform clearing and tree trimming duties for our Tree Service customers including pruning
treetops and limbs, trimming or removal of at-risk/damaged trees as well as removing broken
limbs
Prepare, operate, and maintain all tools and equipment including hand tools, chainsaws,
chippers, and aerial lifts
Remove limbs and brush, cleanup and dispose of debris
Safeguard employees and the public from hazards in and around the working area. Help enforce on-the-job safety practices
What you’ll need:
At least one year’s experience working as a Trimmer/Climber
Knowledge of trees including identification, growth habits and correct arboriculture techniques
for the trimming, pruning, repairing, maintaining and removing of tree limbs
Experience in tree climbing, knot tying and PPE
Ability to perform physical labor such as lifting a minimum of 50 lbs. to shoulder height or more
Capable of operating two-handed equipment (chainsaw, circular saw, etc.) and have the physical
ability to endure extreme climate variances.
Willing and able to obtain specialized training and certifications as required, such as local, state
and federal licenses
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Trims and/or removes trees, branches, trunk sections
Operate and service all required tools/equipment
Cuts and splits large debris into manageable pieces
Requirements: Must have CDL and Class A Driver License Preferred
