All DOC positions are designated as Safety Sensitive Positions and are subject to random drug testing pursuant to the Secretarial Directive governing Personnel Drug Testing. Medical marijuana usage, as defined in Amendment 93 of the Arkansas Constitution, prohibits Personnel in a Safety-Sensitive Position from the use of medical marijuana even if they are qualifying patient under the amendment and/or hold a registry identification card. Department Personnel are prohibited from the use or possession of a medicinal marijuana card pursuant to this policy and state law. Position InformationClass Code: R031CGrade: GS05FLSA Status: EXEMPTSalary Range: $32,405.00 - $51,686.00SummaryThe Institution Human Resources (HR) Coordinator is responsible for coordinating activities of a specific HR program. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.FunctionsSupervises the major function of HR, including payroll, recruiting, benefits administration, and/or employee relations. Develops methods, guidelines, and procedures for assessing the qualifications of applicants for agency jobs. Designs and presents group training programs and provides individual consultations on applicant minimum qualifications assessments and benchmark grouping procedures; reviews and resolves applicant minimum qualifications reconsideration requests. Researches legislation and revises and develops agency policies and procedures. Ensures legal compliance of federal and state personnel related laws. Coordinates and reviews budget as assigned and makes recommendations on reclassifications, and other personnel issues that impact proposed salaries. Serves as project leader on special assignments, such as salary surveys, division restructuring, research and a variety of personnel related issues. Oversees and coordinates personnel related functions, including grievance procedures, benefits programs, selection processes, leaves of absence policies, and classification and compensation guidelines.
