Accountant
Description We are looking for an Accountant in the Manufacturing industry, located in Mt Airy, North Carolina. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. As an Accountant, you will be expected to handle a variety of tasks related to Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, Cl Programming, Concur, and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning. Responsibilities include: Handling and managing Accounting Functions such as Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Auditing. Conducting Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation, Bank Account Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations. Maintaining and updating Accounting Software Systems. Managing Month End Close procedures and preparing Adjusting Journal Entries. Utilizing Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. Assisting with Accrual Accounting and managing Monthly Accruals. Recording and reviewing Journal Entries and maintaining General Journal. Performing Invoice reconciliation and Cash Reconciliations. Utilizing ADP - Financial Services for processing financial transactions. Using Concur and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for streamlining accounting processes. Requirements Must possess a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Excel Formulas and Excel VBA Strong experience with Accounting Software Systems Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems Knowledge of Accounting Functions such as Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience in Auditing and Balance Sheet Account reconciliation Ability to manage Month End Close processes Knowledge of Academic Journals and Adjusting Journal Entries Proficiency in General Journal, Journal Entries and Journal Entry Preparation Ability to maintain Ledger Journal Entries and Month-end Journal Entries Experience in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation, and Bank Account Reconciliation Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations and Cash Reconciliations Ability to perform Daily Reconciliation and Financial Reconciliation Experience in Inventory Reconciliation and Invoice Reconciliation Familiarity with Accrual Accounting and managing Monthly Accruals Must be able to Reconcile Vendor Statements and perform Statement Reconciliations Proficiency in Trade Reconciliation Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Detail-oriented and organized Must adhere to strict confidentiality policies and procedures Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus.
