Mechanic - ASE Certified

Ready to rev up your career? DOWNFORCE, a subsidiary of Podium Logistics, is looking for a driven Mechanic who’s ready to hit the ground running. This role requires hands-on experience with trucks, trailers, and client equipment, as well as the independence to diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues. You’ll be instrumental in maintaining our fleet at peak performance and ensuring safety on the road.

Key Responsibilities:

Preventive Maintenance (PM): Conduct and oversee all aspects of preventive maintenance on trucks, trailers, and client equipment. Ensure PM schedules are met to avoid costly downtimes and maximize efficiency.

Diagnostics and Troubleshooting: Independently identify, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical and electrical issues, using advanced diagnostic tools and your ASE certification expertise.

Electrical and Wiring Systems: Perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on wiring systems to ensure optimal and safe functionality.

Client & Fleet Communication: Provide updates and communicate effectively with both the Downforce team and clients on diagnostics, maintenance schedules, and repair progress.

Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards in all maintenance and repair tasks. Conduct compliance checks to ensure fleet vehicles meet all regulatory and safety requirements.

Inventory & Documentation: Manage parts inventory, document repairs, and track maintenance records for future reference and ongoing compliance.

What We’re Looking For:

ASE Certifications (Automotive Service Excellence) in multiple areas, with a focus on trucks, trailers, and preventive maintenance.

Experience in PM and Repair of diesel trucks, trailers, and related equipment.

Advanced Troubleshooting Skills with a knack for diagnosing complex issues in wiring, electrical systems, and general mechanical areas.

Independence & Accountability: Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and take ownership of all assigned maintenance projects.

Attention to Detail: Sharp focus on quality and thoroughness in every repair and maintenance action.

Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to relay complex information to non-technical team members and clients in a clear, concise way.
