Position Summary

The Retail/Café Store Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of our retail and café location, ensuring an exceptional customer experience, effective team management, and efficient store operations. This individual will be responsible for maintaining high standards in service, product quality, and store presentation, all while driving sales and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

Oversee daily store and café operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and cash handling.

Implement and maintain visual merchandising standards, ensuring the store layout is engaging and inviting.

Monitor store performance, analyzing sales reports, customer feedback, and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement.

Customer Service

Cultivate a warm, welcoming atmosphere that prioritizes a positive customer experience.

Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Implement initiatives that enhance the customer experience, including in-store events and promotional activities.

Team Leadership

Recruit, train, and supervise staff members, creating a motivated, service-oriented team.

Conduct regular team meetings to discuss goals, updates, and address any concerns.

Manage employee performance, conducting evaluations, coaching, and setting professional development plans.

Financial Management

Drive sales goals and profitability targets through effective team management and upselling techniques.

Manage store budget, including payroll, inventory, and operating expenses.

Conduct monthly inventory counts and ensure accurate product ordering to avoid stock shortages or overages.

Compliance and Safety

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food handling standards.

Maintain store cleanliness, ensuring that all areas are well-organized and up to brand standards.

Uphold all company policies and procedures, including adherence to cash handling and loss prevention practices.

Qualifications

Experience: 3+ years of management experience in retail or food and beverage service.

Education: High school diploma or GED required; a degree in business, hospitality, or related field is a plus.

Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

Certifications: Food Handler’s certification or equivalent is preferred.
