The HMP internship is a 10-week paid program built to immerse our Summer Associates in all aspects of healthcare administration and operations in one of our participating hospitals, clinical service lines, departments or healthcare-related businesses.

Summer Associates are partnered with a hand-picked mentor to teach and guide them through their internship experience.

The HMP internship could be the first steppingstone in your career journey and can lead to many opportunities at Northwell including prime consideration for a full-time job in our Management Associate Program post-graduation.APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION:Submit your application along with a 250 word or less statement of interest sharing why you are seeking to participate in the Healthcare Management Program Internship; please also include your career aspirations. Responsibilities

Participates in the preparation of analytics data to support the work of the department.

Facilitates and ensures completion of assigned departmental projects.

Meets with administration leadership to support analysis of scope of service and data.

Reviews and assists in the analysis of external data for patterns, trends and methodology.

Assists in studies to objectively ascertain the efficiency, economy and effectiveness of department or Hospital operations, policies and procedures.

Assists management in facilitating new programs and/or procedures.

Performs related duties, as required.

ADA Essential FunctionsRequired Experience and Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's level program, majoring in a related field, required.

Current undergraduate college students whose expected graduation date is between December 2025 and May 2026

Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Powerpoint, Word and Excel, required.

Prior administrative experience in a hospital setting, preferred.
