Medical Lab Assistant II - Lab Administration

JOB SUMMARY:Under the general supervision of the Laboratory Supervisor the Medical Laboratory Assistant II is responsible for a variety of specimen collections on children both inpatients & outpatients, processing tests, referral test analysis preparation & shipping registration & lab test order entry hospital/departmental computer procedures Microbiology specimen processing & departmental instrument maintenance. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma, G.E.D. or EquivalentOne year of experiencePhlebotomy certificatePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Two years of experienceBLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA)Prior pediatric experience in phlebotomy, specimen accessioning and processing, patient registration and lab test order entry in a clinical laboratory under a qualified Director.The current salary range for this position is $25.01 to $34.11Rady Children’s Hospital is committed to compensation that is externally competitive and internally equitable.
