Seamstress
We are looking for an all-star seamstress who has incredible attention to detail, is reliable, and has a positive attitude to join our close-knit team at Something Vintage Rentals. As a seamstress, you will cut and sew table linens and napkins while ensuring the highest quality standards are met consistently for every product produced.

We like to think of Something Vintage as a family, with many of our employees working for us for years and have moved up in the ranks from a delivery team member to a manager.
What You’ll Do:
-Ability to operate, thread, and problem solve on various sewing machines and serger models.
-Create patterns based on standard linen sizes, and fabricate various sizes of linens and other accessories using those patterns.
-Safely operate hand-held electric fabric cutting tools
-Lay and cut fabric according to patterns and cut lists
-Assist with laundering and ironing linens as needed
-Evaluate supply and material needs based on upcoming order requirements
Weekly expectation is M-F, 40/hr work week, compensated hourly.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of professional sewing experience.
- Be able to operate and thread various sewing machines
- Be detail-oriented and committed to producing consistent and high-quality work
- Possess a strong work ethic and a passion for crafting linens.
- Ability to read and speak basic English.
- Capable of understanding and following simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Effective communication with co-workers and supervisors to exchange accurate information regarding customer orders and equipment status.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using American units of weight, measurement, volume, and distance.
- Regularly remain in a stationary position, move around, ascend/descend ladders, and position oneself at various heights.
- Carry, stack, and unstack equipment, as well as move equipment within the work area.
