Research Scientist PhD - Bioinformatics (Seattle, WA)

IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a Research Scientist PhD - Bioinformatics at its facility in Seattle, WA.

Ideal candidates will possess the following:

- A PhD in Bioinformatics or related field (required)

- Experience in whole genome sequencing and data analysis (preferred)

- Passion for food microbiology and food science and willingness to do their best to help our clients on their requested projects

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Be highly motivated and proactive, and have a strong attention to detail

- Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory

The pay range for this position is $90,000.00 - $140,000 annually. This is a full-time position and is eligible for the following benefits after a brief waiting period: medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability insurance, 401(k), health and dependent care FSA plans, employee assistance program, 15 days of paid time off per year for sick leave and/or vacation, 3 days paid bereavement leave, and 6 paid holidays per year.

The laboratory operates weekends, so candidates must be willing to work occasional weekends.
