Cybersecurity Identity Access Management Intern - Summer 2025
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Identity and Access Management (IAM) Intern to support our IAM team. This internship provides hands-on experience with the processes and technologies that ensure secure access to company systems and data. The intern may assist in identity lifecycle management, access provisioning, and support the ongoing transformation of the company’s IAM infrastructure. This role may also offer exposure to compliance, auditing, and various IAM tools and platforms.Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the provisioning and deprovisioning of user access to systems, networks, and applications in alignment with IAM policies.
Participate in the maintenance and enforcement of identity governance to ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
Support the team in analyzing role-based access controls (RBAC) and recommend enhancements.
Help manage and track access reviews and recertifications, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve IAM-related issues.
Assist in the IAM transformation projects, including identity cleanup and automation initiatives.
Contribute to the creation of documentation, process flows, and training materials for IAM procedures.
Perform audits and assessments of IAM systems, identifying potential security gaps.
Learn and work with IAM technologies such as Active Directory, Azure AD, MFA, SSO, and other identity platforms.
Qualifications:
Currently a Junior or Senior student pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. We may also consider sophomores if they have the relevant experience or aptitude.
Familiarity with IAM concepts, such as authentication, authorization, access management, and privilege management.
Basic knowledge of Active Directory, identity governance, and access management tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and methodologies.
Experience with PowerShell scripting, or Policy as Code (PaC) and Infrastructure as code (IaC), or similar programming constructs (preferred but not required).
Previous coursework or certifications in IAM, Security, or related areas are a plus.
