Assistant for an Upscale Highland Park Boutique Neighborhood Salon

We have a rare Assistant position available at Cactus Moon LA, our three-chair upscale boutique neighborhood salon in Highland Park. You would be supporting two very talented, motivated stylists with established clientele.

We’re a full-service, by appointment-only salon. We have a beautiful, nature-inspired environment and a natural light-filled space. Our interiors are thoughtfully curated for our clients to enjoy, and we have easy access to street parking. We are looking for an assistant who:

- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

- Is comfortable assisting two stylists

- Must be able to blow dry, mix color, apply glosses

- Must be comfortable with checking clients in and out

- Has a high proficiency in customer service

- Has prior salon experience

- Preferably has a small clientele (you will be able to take a small number of clients on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays, pending our evaluation)

- Preferably someone who is based in or near Highland Park and is interested in building clientele here

- Is interested in becoming our third chair

- Has experience posting on social media as you will be helping run our accounts

We offer the following:

- Hourly rate plus tips

- Education in all things hair from two seasoned stylists

- Our third chair on off days without charge
