Welder (Tig & Mig) $28/hour

Responsibilities
Tig/Fabricating weld aluminum, stainless steel and steel.
Regulate current and voltage on various types of welding equipment for proper penetration and fusion of metals.
Select welding rod/wire size and alloy as well as shielding gas usage.
Weld various thickness of metal within close tolerances to +/-.005 from simple corners to complex frame assemblies including prototypes and production quantities.
Work to specifications from blue prints, sketches, work orders or verbal instructions and understand welding symbols.
Position parts using squares and clamps, cleeco’s, jigs or fixtures. Also devise and fabricate jigs and fixtures.
Use proper construction methods, weld sequences and adjustment for material movement to achieve desired dimensions, squareness and straightness.
Use grinders to fit up parts when needed.
Perform light maintenance on welding equipment which includes replacing contact tips, nozzles, liners, wire spools, torch assemblies, hoses and safely exchange gas bottles.
Check you welding with squares, straight edge rules, protractors, dial vernier calipers, and or fixtures prior to bringing work to inspection.
Able to pass welding test prior to employment.
Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computer.
Able to do some heavy lifting.
Able to enter job quantities and labor information into computer system.
Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
Required to provide own tools needed to perform job including helmet (replacement glass, gloves, aprons and caps supplied).
Operate fork trucks (will train) and power lifts.
Hours are:
Monday through Friday - 7am – 3:30pm
The pay is up to $28.00 an hour
