Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Lenexa, Kansas. The position involves a range of duties, focusing primarily on processing transactions, maintaining accounting records, and managing vendor payments. This role is significant in the daily operations of our accounting department and requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong skill set in account reconciliation, data entry, and invoice processing.Responsibilities: Assist in the day-to-day activities of the accounting department, ensuring smooth operations and accuracy Verify, record, and process transactions using various documents, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records for all transactions Manage vendor payment schedules and process payments in a timely manner Handle vendor statements, including credit card statements, and perform account reconciliations Provide clerical support to the accounting department, contributing to efficient operations Liaise with internal departments for resolving account discrepancies and other issues Review vendor and billing reports daily, checking for accuracy in reports, figures, and postings Communicate effectively with clients, both orally and in writing, to discuss account statuses, charges, or discrepancies Perform additional duties as required, supporting the functioning of the accounting department. Requirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation Understanding and experience with Accounts Payable (AP) Knowledge of Check Runs process Ability to perform Coding Invoices Proficient in Data Entry tasks Experience in Invoice Processing Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Familiarity with Oracle Experience with QuickBooks Knowledge of SAP Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to handle confidential information responsibly Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role is advantageous.
