DescriptionSchedule: Monday - Friday (40 hrs/wk)8:00 AM - 5:00 PMDepartment: Human Resources - 151Primary Purpose: Supports various business groups by implementing and administering Human Resources (HR) programs and policies and other special projects. Assesses and develops new programs and initiatives to meet management and organizational needs. Partners with individuals within HR to facilitate the delivery of services as appropriate. Consider joining our dynamic team.Essential Functions: Provides support to designated functional areas within HR. Performs operational and administrative duties often making decisions based on knowledge of ARUP’s organization, culture, policies and basic HR law. Maintains knowledge of legal requirements related to general management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.Administers HR programs and policies in support of the areas within HR, including onboarding, H1B Visa process, and talent acquisition.Administers and monitors HR programs and initiatives to meet management needs.Relies on experience and judgement to solve basic HR issues and problems.Answers general questions and provides guidance on HR policies, procedures, programs, benefits, etc.Communicates and collaborates with individuals within ARUP, as well as with individuals and organizations from outside of the company.Analyzes and maintains records and compiles data from various sources to prepare reports.Utilizes all HRIS tools in performing audits, preparing reports, conducting relevant training, and data entering.Other duties as assigned.Physical and Other Requirements: Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.Mobility: The person in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Communicate: Frequently communicate with others.PPE: Biohazard laboratory environment that requires use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies.ARUP Policies and Procedures: To conduct self in compliance with all ARUP Policies and Procedures.Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.Continuing Education: Continual assessment of current literature and best practices.QualificationsEducationRequired

High School Diploma or Equivalent or better

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree or better in Human Resources

ExperienceRequired

Credit Check

Bachleor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Business Administration or closely related field and one year as a Human Resouces professional, OR High school Diploma and five years as a Human Resources professional.

Preferred

Highly effective presentation, facilitation, written and verbal communication skills

Ability to identify risks and opportunities for an organization from a Human Resources perspective

General knowledge of human resource disciplines including employment laws

Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications

Professional certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP
