Mechanical Assembler
Job Title: Mechanical AssemblerJob DescriptionAs a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for brazing copper to copper piping using an oxyacetylene torch on a daily basis. Each unit is custom-made, requiring you to cut the piping to length and braze it together according to each customer's specifications. You will work off blueprints as needed and assist in assembling the housing units where these racks are installed. This role involves significant physical activity, including bending, kneeling, and twisting throughout the day.Responsibilities
Brazing copper to copper piping using an oxyacetylene torch.
Cutting piping to the correct length based on customer specifications.
Working off blueprints to assemble custom units.
Assisting in the assembly of housing units for the racks.
Engaging in physical activities such as bending, kneeling, and twisting.
Essential Skills
Experience in mechanical assembly, complex machine operation, or construction (minimum of 3 months).
Proficiency in using hand tools and reading blueprints.
Ability to use a tape measure to cut pipes and insulation to the correct length.
Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with brazing and assembly techniques.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in plumbing or entry-level welding is advantageous.
Background in farm machinery repair or automotive work.
Ability to perform MIG welding on mild steel as needed.
