Accountant II - Owner Relations

Job DescriptionAn O&G Operator in Houston, TX is looking for an Accountant II to join their Owner Relations Accounting team. This role will work a hybrid schedule (Mon & Fri remote, Tues-Thurs in office).This role will be primarily responsible for the following:Coordinate Check Write monthly for the owner level and company level runs. Includes managing the process in PRA, ensuring files are sent successfully to the bank, print & mail vendor, and web host vendor, and prepare monthly metricsWork closely with Revenue Accounting and Land Data ManagementCoordinate the monthly excessive check review; perform analysis, work with Revenue and Land Data Management to resolve issues identified, create SOX support packetsRespond to Owner Inquiries perform analysis, work with Revenue, Land Data Management, Operations, Legal, Marketing, and other departments when necessary to formulate a response to ownersAssist with annual 1099 reporting; perform analysis, make corrections where necessary before filings are finalizedReconcile balance sheet accounts, with emphasis on Returned RoyaltiesAssist with projects as needed including but not limited to system testing, process invoices from third party vendors, statutory interest calculations, and other functional tasks related to Owner RelationsWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
