Structural Fitters Needed!
Superior Skilled Trades is seeking Structural Steel Fitters for an immediate start in Greenfield, NH!
LONG TERM POSITION
PAY: $20-25/hour (based upon experience)
HOURS: Shifts will be 10-hour workdays
SCHEDULE: 2nd Shift 3:30pm - 1:30am
START DATE: ASAP
DURATION: temp-to-hire
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Structural Steel Fitter to join our team. As a Structural Steel Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling, fabricating, and installing various steel structures and components. Your expertise in reading blueprints, utilizing welding techniques, and adhering to safety protocols will be essential in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Blueprint Reading- Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to understand project requirements and specifications.
Steel Fabrication- Cut, shape, and assemble steel components using various tools and equipment, including cutting torches, grinders, and welding machines.
Welding- Perform various welding techniques, such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding, to join steel components accurately and securely.
Installation- Install steel structures and components onto site, ensuring proper alignment, fit, and adherence to building codes and regulations.
Quality Control- Inspect completed work for accuracy, compliance with specifications, and adherence to safety standards.
Safety Compliance- Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Teamwork- Collaborate with other team members, including engineers, project managers, and other tradespeople, to ensure project success.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Structural Steel Fitter.
Strong understanding of blueprint reading and interpretation.
Proficiency in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, stick welding).
Ability to operate various hand and power tools.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
