Office Assistant (Accounting and Tax Firm)
Job Description
We are searching for a motivated Office Assistant who is an excellent multitasker with exceptional communication and time management skills. He or she should be thorough, accurate, and honest with good bookkeeping skills. He or she should be trustworthy, efficient, and organized.
Job Responsibilities:
Providing support to the Accounting Department.
Collect payments for the CPA office
Performing basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, processing the mail, etc.
Handling communications with clients and vendors via phone, email, and in-person.
Handling invoicing and collection in a timely manner
Processing transactions, issuing checks, and updating ledgers, budgets, etc.
Preparing financial reports.
Assisting with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies
Performing clerical tasks, including data entry, processing, and recording transactions
Updating the ledger
Other duties, as needed.
Job Requirements:
Associate degree in accounting, bookkeeping certification, basic accounting certification
High school diploma a must
Accounting and bookkeeping work experience
Must have an understanding of basic accounting principles
Must be good in using MS Excel and QuickBooks
Invoicing and collection experiences
Exceptional time management and verbal and written communication skills.
Professional manner and strong ethical code.
Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive.
Commitment to working efficiently and accurately.
