Maintenance Technician
We are looking for a skilled, hard-working, and reliable Maintenance Technician to undertake upkeep and repair tasks on the interior and exterior of Company salons. We’ll rely on you to keep our facilities in perfect condition by doing various jobs to assist our operations team. We pride ourselves on sustaining excellent curb appeal and providing our licensees with safe, beautiful places to run their businesses.
Your job responsibilities will include maintaining and upkeep of our corporate salons, including—but not limited to—air conditioning, appliances, carpentry, drywall, electrical, flooring, heating and cooling, restrooms, remodeling, painting, plumbing, pressure washing, roofing, and windows and doors.
Your skills and technical knowledge are essential to a Maintenance Technician’s job. It would be best to be well-organized and have strong general repair skills. An eye for detail and physical stamina are valued greatly in this job. A “can-do” attitude and a good sense of problem-solving are vital attributes that lead to success in this position. A successful maintenance technician is versatile enough to repair faulty appliances and toilets, fix minor electrical issues, remodel rooms, paint, and handle numerous other tasks.
What you will be doing:
Inspect all corporate facilities monthly to identify potential problems with building maintenance, mechanical failure, and breakdowns
Respond to requests for maintenance services, including replacing air filters, installing new locks, and troubleshooting equipment
Ability to perform minor construction repairs, drywall patch, and paint, caulking, replace carpet tiles and luxury vinyl tiles, baseboard, and trim, or hang some artwork
Repair plumbing leaks and clogs, electrical and safety systems in units as required
Replace lamps, install signs, assemble furniture, inventory supplies, and materials, and maintain corporate storage facilities
Respond to requests from property managers and maintenance services as needed
Keep detailed records of services performed, materials used, and transportation to and from work sites
Assist tradespeople with electrical, plumbing, or HVAC repairs
Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks
Identify and report the need for major repairs
Report findings every week and maintain service records on each facility
Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems
Basic math skills
Good communication skills
Well-organized and adept in problem-solving
Hours will be Monday-Friday from 6 AM-3 PM
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Experience with plumbing and electrical systems required
Current Driver’s License with a clean record and insurance
Experience and good working knowledge of HVAC systems, operation, and maintenance
Must have reliable transportation, preferably a truck, capable of carrying the tools and equipment needed to perform the job
Must speak English; bi-lingual is a plus
Adept with standard hand and power tools
Familiarity with building systems and infrastructures
Ability to communicate well with property management and facilities staff
Willingness to uphold company standards for safety, service, and efficiency
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
