General Laborer
General Laborer duties include cleaning and preparing a job site, loading and delivering materials, and using a variety of tools and machines such as blowtorches, forklifts, levels, lifts, power drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers, and water spraying equipment. A construction laborer or construction worker does physical labor on construction sites. They may prepare sites by cleaning them, loading or unloading materials and removing hazards. A general laborer may also run some types of equipment.
1. Operate and care for construction equipment and machines.
2. Help equipment operator and other skilled labor when necessary.
3. Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards.
4. Load or unload construction materials.
5. Put together and take apart temporary structures, such as scaffolding.
6. Remove, fill, or compact earth.
7. Follow instructions from site superintendent.
8. Assist workers as directed by site superintendent.
9. Ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary.
10. Perform daily site clean-up.
11. Must have clean drivers license
12. Must pass a drug test
