Warehouse Associate
Iowa Staffing is working on behalf of our Urbandale client to hire a full-time Warehouse Associate. The right candidate will be an excellent communicator with a positive attitude, professionalism, technical aptitude, motivation, capability, and desire to grow with the company. The pay is between $18-$20 per hour.
This client manufactures industrial plastics for applications ranging from construction equipment, food processing machinery, automotive, healthcare, and many more. The company has nine branches in seven states, and each employee can make a direct impact on the success of their branch, while still having the support of a large network of colleagues. Pay will be based on applicant’s experience.
Requirements:
CNC experience a plus, but not required
Ability to read & interpret blueprints/drawings and 3D models
Ability to read a measuring tape & calipers
Ability to safely operate a forklift
Mathematical skills to be able to compute rates, ratios and percentages
Hours are 8am to 4:30pm, but must be willing and able to work overtime as needed
Great attention to detail
Ability to communicate positively and effectively with coworkers
Responsibilities include:
Set up and run jobs, ensuring precise work and attention to detail
Set speed and feeds based on material type, thickness, and cut size
General machine maintenance & upkeep
Maintain quality control documentation and update setup information
Provide feedback to optimize programs for maximize run rates, improved material yields and minimal waste
Accurately read and interpret prints, 3D models, and general work instructions
Maintain clean and efficient work area
Work with a team of employees to meet and exceed targeted goals
Having a positive attitude and team mentality is vital to our success
