Description We are in search of a Customer Service Representative to join our team in Los Angeles, California. This role is vital in the event management industry, where you will be the primary point of contact for conference attendees, exhibitors, and partners. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Assist conference attendees with registration, check-in, and inquiries regarding the event schedule, sessions, or logistics. Provide support to exhibitors and sponsors, addressing their needs, facilitating booth setups, and ensuring a seamless experience. Staff the information desk, answering questions, providing directions, and distributing materials such as programs, maps, and other event-related information. Address and resolve attendee and exhibitor concerns, including ticketing issues, misplaced badges, and other on-site problems. Gather feedback from attendees and exhibitors to identify areas for improvement and ensure continual enhancement of our services. Maintain open and clear communication with event organizers and other team members to ensure a coordinated effort in providing excellent customer service. Be prepared to handle emergencies or critical situations with composure and professionalism, following established protocols. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, feedback, and any incidents that may arise during the event.Requirements Prior experience in a customer service role is preferred Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to problem-solve and handle customer inquiries in a timely manner Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) software Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and manage time effectively Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm under pressure High school diploma or equivalent is required Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required. ­Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
